Dr. Katie Coash - DVM
Dr. Katie Coash is originally from Kankakee and graduated from Manteno High School. She graduated veterinary school from the University of Illinois in 2008 and has practiced in the area since 2010. Her special interest are preventative care, internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. She especially enjoys creating lifelong relationships with clients and their pets.
In her spare time she loves spending time with her husband, three boys, dogs and boating on the Kankakee River. She also enjoys hiking, most outdoor activities and watching sports.
Dr. Coash has three dogs and a leukemia positive, three legged cat at home.
Dr. Kristi Russell - DVM
Dr. Kristi Russell grew up in a small suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. She has spent her entire life surrounded by the veterinary medical field, since she has followed in her father’s footsteps. Dr. Russell attended Baldwin-Wallace College, where she majored in Biology, and minored in Chemistry and English. Upon completion of her junior year, Dr. Russell was accepted a year early into The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2002. Dr. Russell has practiced small animal (with some pocket pet/exotic) medicine in Virginia and Ohio. She and her husband, Mark, moved to Illinois for a pastoral position.
Dr. Russell spends her extra time helping her husband with senior high youth ministry at GatheringPoint Church. She is a team captain for Team World Vision and enjoys competing in marathons, triathlons, etc., and is a strong advocate for healthy lifestyles. She values her time with her family (Mark, Emma, and Adilene) and pets Kirby the French Bulldog, Hamlet the guinea pig, KD , the cat, and Cecil the turtle). Dr. Russell also enjoys reading, singing, wood burning, and decorating cakes.

LAILA ALLI BURRELL
Dr. Brandi Porto - DVM
Dr. Porto, after receiving her bachelor degree in Finance and Management in 2005, graduated Magna cum Laude from University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2014 receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She has cared for many four-legged family members in the community since then. From canines and felines to pigs and horses, Dr. Porto has a true love for livestock and household pets. Dr. Porto is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association.
Outside of the office, Dr. Porto can be found spending time with her family, Addie, Colton, newest addition Weston, her husband Nick, and their five dogs Cheyanne, Flare, Hooch, Riggs and Lola. On the farm they enjoy horseback riding, working with their cows, and off-roading in their creek.

Dr. Andé Wegner - DVM
Dr. Wegner received her veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2005, graduating with highest honors. She has been serving the community as a private practice veterinarian since graduation and enjoys working with people and their beloved pets. Dr. Wegner returned to school in 2013 to become a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, graduating in July 2014 from the Chi Institute of Chinese Medicine. In addition to acupuncture, she takes great interest in diagnostic imaging and surgery. Dr. Wegner believes that a balance approach to veterinary care can provide optimal health and wellness to every pet.
Dr. Wegner is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association, and the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society as well as receiving her USDA National Accreditation.
When she is not on the job, you can find Dr. Wegner running with the Kankakee River Running Club or participating in races with the Corn Fed Spartans. She enjoys the competition of triathlon as well as that of obstacle course and adventure racing. It is not unusual to find her running the streets and trails of Kankakee county with her longtime boyfriend Rick, and their adopted Doberman, Dodge!
